Terletak sejauh 35 minit dari Tanah Merah, Ayer Lanas terletak di sempadan Malaysia-Thailand.

Located approximately 35 minutes away from Tanah Merah, the town of Ayer Lanas is situated on the Malaysia-Thailand border.

TOPONOMI
Sejarah mengisahkan tentang seorang ketua orang Asli yang bernama Lanas dan dipanggil Tok Lanas. Tok Lanas ialah orang yang bertanggungjawab kepada kaumnya, maka mereka hidup dengan aman dan damai. Ceritanya bermula, pada suatu hari Tok Lanas lemas di dalam sungai semasa beliau bermandi-manda dan telah meninggal dunia di tempat kejadian. Maka, dengan sebulat suara, kaum orang Asli bersetuju untuk menamakan kampung ini sebagai Kampung Ayer Lanas sempena kematian Tok Lanas di dalam sungai tersebut dan kepimpinan beliau sebagai seorang ketua yang bertanggungjawab (Kelab Pencinta Sejarah Kelate, 2012).

TOPONYMY
There is a well-known story of the head of the Orang Asli whose name was Lanas and was referred to by his people as Tok Lanas. He was a responsible man who took care of his people and thus they were able to live in peace and harmony under his leadership. It so happened that one unfortunate day, Tok Lanas drowned in a river while bathing and so the Orang Asli community agreed to rename the village as Kampung Ayer Lanas to commemorate his life as commendable leader and also his untimely death in the river of their village (Kelab Pencinta Sejarah Kelate, 2012

TARIKAN
Gua Satan yang kaya dengan khazanah semulajadi. Dikatakan individu bertuah berpeluang menyaksikan perkampungan bunian dengan syarat menjaga adab dan batas (Azmi Mohd Salleh, 2011).

ATTRACTION
Gua Satan is abundant in natural treasures. It is often said that one lucky individual might just be able to feast their eyes on an elvish village (these creatures are called ‘orang bunian’ in Malay and are different to the elves in Western folkloric tradition) with the condition that they are mindful of their manners when approaching the site. (Azmi Mohd Salleh, 2011).
